Key Responsibilities

The advisor provides strategic leadership and enterprise expertise to advance information-management practices across Health Shared Services and partner organizations. A key focus is supporting Connect Care complex areas involving consent and confidentiality and improving the use of a shared clinical information system.

The role works with provincial health organizations and other stakeholders to solve complex information-management issues, lead change and drive more consistent provincial practices.

The Senior Advisor contributes to committees and working groups, develops tools and resources for measuring outcomes and guides enterprise standards, policies, practices and education that allow information to be used responsibly as an organizational asset.

Education and Experience

Applicants need a university degree in a health discipline, health informatics, information management, computer science, business analysis or a closely related field. AHS notes that equivalent combinations of education and experience can be considered.
